Education Programs

To address to the problem of low rate of literacy, especially amongst girls in rural areas of Sindh, an awareness raising campaign organized in the three district (Thatta, Sujawal, Badin)

Awareness Walk

Awareness walk oganized in district Thatta, Sujawal and Badin cities walk begin in the city from main Chowk to Press Club . The walk was held to mark the New Enrollment campaign and bring together community members and government officials to raise awareness that primary education is a basic right deserved by every child.

“Let’s unite and ensure every child gains the education and hence make the country prosper!” was the starting note, remarked by Network Coordinator We Care Foundation

During the activity, the foundation members with volunteers shared information about importance of education, through banners and play cards amongst the children and community members with the same message.

Having discussed the details about the activity, people from all walks of life including Primary , ADOE Education, Teachers Association representative, Religion leaders, Political activist , Media Reporters and Community members started marching from main chowk to Press Club Badin chanting the slogans: education for all; we need education; get your child enrolled in school, and education is priceless gift for your child.

Passing by houses, shops and streets, there were surprising gazes, priceless smiles and joyful curiosity among the people around the city, wanting to know what was going on. Seeing and hearing the slogans

Children Festival

To provide the psycho-social support, co-curricular, and address the protection and rights key messages through different games and stage performances children festival organized by We Care Foundation at 4 union councils of district Badin and Thatta

In the festivals children took very much interest to be a part of speech, games, tableaus, drama acting. And show enthusiasm performances to the audience and got moral support, rewards by the hands of guests

 

Children, women and guests enjoyed to see outstanding performances of very backward and flood affected children and appreciate the performances. Key messages regarding child by field staff to provide the key messages and lessons learning for successful life.  Children took very keen interest in different activities speeches, poems, songs, folk dance, traditional music, tableaus, messages, jokes and different games.

Sports Tournament

in this sports tournament 8 games Cricket, football, Wanjhwatti, Malh, skipping, musical chare, running with marble and spoon, jumping planned and competition with C4D location organized. Total 677 children participated in the different games with keen interest looking enthusiasm. At the end of the tournament rewards distributed among winners and participants as well

Theatre Performance

To provide Importance of Education and Gender Based Violence interactive theatre performance organized at 3 locations of district Badin and Thatta

Communication for development (C4D) is also part of this program to disseminate the key messages of above issues through different ways like mass media, puppet show, theater performance, children festival etc.

 

The theater script revolves, surrounding a girl, she face early marriage, domestic while she want to get education. In one scene she become mother of a baby, her husband and father in law don’t like baby, so they trying to fall the baby into bucket  full of milk  to kill her and pray to God to send her in shape of boy. Suddenly one influential person of the village comes and saved the baby and sensitize to them through disseminate key messages regarding the role of a women in betterment of society. One time he says” today’s baby is mother of tomorrow, so you are not killing the baby but killing the mother of tomorrow”Through this activity women & children aware and sensitize on Importance of education for girls
